She had seen it all from afar, hear the call in the air. The blizzard had turned for the worse and still she ran, with all her might. The muscles maybe ached and her bones whined but she had to run for the beast had finally found them; them who she owed everything for.
Gharaztr and the others. It was with them already. She had been too slow. She was late.

A path leadign to the lake was ripped open by the beast - it was easy enough for Syoja to just barge through without any second thought. Her eyes were wide open as the snow tried to make her blind; all the white was mishmashing into one without any real lines between a tree and land. She had the sound, however - with only that as a guidance she knew where to go. Lake Reisa.
She was there and so was the beast she had been tracking.
The heart bursting out of her chest, Syoja reached the top of the hill that lead towards the lake - and on its shore was a sight she had been dreading to see. Gharazt and Vaa'as going to safety and Vainaja, the huge titan, feeling the beast's might on her very skin. How small and fragile they all looked from here - and how magnificent this demon was indeed.

It had been whispering in her ears for months know; Syoja had known it from the start that it had been the same voice. First Syoja had thought it was just a dream talking, or then some sort of sleep deprivation. But when her mind had been clear as crystal lake, when her mind sharp as the edge of her teeth and she had heard the call anyway...
Well, Syoja had considered losing the very mind of her own. A scary thought indeed for a warrior like her, for a soldier that was meant to lead and to conquer, who was meant to live to the fullest and help the others, too. But she had considered herself unworthy and placed herself into solitude of sorts - thus making her walls impenetrable even for those she cared for most. Pistos and Raani, Gharaztr and his bunch... Hialdir. Mostly Hialdir had suffered. It might be too late to ever say that to the male.

But as Syoja stood there froze into place and stared as Vainaja, Gharazt and Vaa'as tried their all to keep away from the sudden beast from the deepest pits of Hel, it occured to her. Clear as day the thought came and made her muscles free from the stone prison her own fear had given her so many death of days ago; it wasn't her mind. And it was that still. It was something else, a test maybe, something to bring her to her knees... so that he could rise.
The ram-bear screeched. Called out for her.
It was made for her.

For her.

As Syoja moved, her whole body tensed for an attack, for a leap of her lifetime. Vainaja had fallen and Ghar and Vaa'as were both away from the scene, most likely hiding their very bodies from the attacks - and the beast roamed. No, it waited.
And it would wait forever if she didn't answer.

Syoja didn't remember much of her mother but she did remember this one saying, this one legend; that if you aren't living to your full potential, if you aren't being the best of yourself and make people around you to suffer from that... sometimes, the very will of you will manifest itself. The magics of this world was yet to be discovered so maybe it hadn't been just some old, musty tale not to be believed in.
Syoja had never thought she could be important enough to be anything. She had just... been. But when she now ran towards the beast who turned its whole being towards the hillside, waiting still in place, she felt she had to do something. To be something, at least now. And if she had indeed bred this monstrosity, she had to be the one to take it down.

The last steps were there just to make her leap even greater.
Just enough for her to land... over the ram. It hadn't expected that move and that was when Syoja struck.

Vainaja had lost her concisousness for a small second but the sheer terror in the beasts voice had thrown her back to the reality. As the titan blinked, she could feel Gharaztr and Vaa'as on her side, checking her... but also staring at something. Vainaja didn't understand it first but there it was, all that might in front of her.
Syoja. It was the cross-colored female who had left them previously to do her own agenda. Why she was here now - how she was here now - was a mystery but as she struck the ram-bear and made it bleed of... something, Vainaja froze.
She could actually struck it with a blow?

"Syoja!" Ghar shouted over the blizzard wind but with no avail - Syoja couldn't hear him, or anyone else, anymore. She was breathing heavy as the ram beast slashed with force, hurling her towards the snow. She managed to save her legs from breaking but hit the snow hard with her side; luckily the deep snow was also soft in appearance and she was quickly coming to her feet. Panting, she stared the beast now for the first time up close - and before their eyes it manifested in a different way. It still had the ram skull as its head but the body changed from the bear... to a cross-colored wolf.
It... it is...

Syoja glanced at Vainaja, Gharazt and Vaa'as but they were shouting at her direction and weren't affected by the appearance. Couldn't they see it like she did?
It was hers, her manifestation - it was Syoja, in a sense. And as the beast ran to her and hit the teeth to her flesh, the magics suddenly took a burts of form... hitting her tail and cutting it half.

Syoja screamed.
